Insiders are often very overexposed to a single company because it's their primary form of compensation. You can sell every share you have and still be overexposed due to unvested shares. I would advise against interpreting "I don't want to tie my life savings to this company" as a lack of faith.
There are good points here, but I think analogizing the situation into a class struggle within a society is both confusing and specious. Ethereum is not a civilization: it's a piece of FinTech.
I mean anybody can sue anybody for anything, but to win damages you'd have to prove that either Tesla intended to mess up his previous job or that they were negligent (based on a legal duty of care). IANAL, but this seems unlikely.
If you ask for a start date, then cancel your offer are you not willfully doing damage? You're just saying, that damage doesn't mean that much to me. I'm guessing willful and intent are legal definitions though.
Lack of an HBO Max app is annoying for sure. I just play it on my iphone and then AirPlay to the TV which isn't too bad. Now if Windows Laptops could cast OTA better that would be the best... haven't been able to get the windows airplay equivalent to work at all
That’s annoying.. I didn’t realize because I have some form of HBO as an Amazon prime video channel. So at least there’s that. Also using echo studios as sound output requires a Fire TV....
But it is optional. There's social pressure for all kinds of things, including getting married and having children.
You have to figure out how to get food & shelter and follow local laws. Everything else is unequivocally optional. I would argue that "not seen as optional" is just a way of saying "I don't own up to my choices."
I just try to use the terms interchangeably in hypothetical scenarios so that there isn't a sense of normal association. Sometimes I use Congressman, sometimes Congresswoman. Sometimes I use Congressperson as well. I think if people are noticing then that's a clear sign to keep doing it, because you probably had a prior bias that the person doing something wrong would have been a man.
“Congressmember” in the generic and “Representative” and “Senator” for the specific houses are widely accepted (standard and formally preferred for the house-specific ones) and gender neutral.
Yes, thank you for that. I'm specifically not using gender-neutral terms in this instance, actually. The goal is to muddy the associations that exist and unfortunately gender-neutral terms are unable to do that. They definitely have a time and place for use, though, and I do use them when I think it makes sense to.
Interesting approach, but what it reads like is that you are intentionally gendering the term for some purpose. I was trying to figure out if you meant Senator Warren specifically, because she has been behind a lot of this discussion.
You might be confusing your audience more than you are accomplishing your other objective.
Hey thanks for the feedback. Yea you're right that I was intentionally gendering the term here. My goal was to have someone notice that I used Congresswoman in a negative context.
But I definitely appreciate your comment here and it's something I'll continue to evaluate. On one hand it's shouting into the void. On the other... well... it's probably still shouting into the void.
I don't know how a person in a matter of weeks can go from at the very least accepting (if not advocating) of the idea of genocide as an "answer" to that "question" could do a complete 180. When people are that deranged they are very willing to publicly recant views that they realize are not publicly acceptable while still believing it in private.
Yeah especially when the comments include talk about 'hiding your power level' which is explicitly about lying about your views to blend in and stealthily introduce fash/antisemetic/alt-right talking points to people without immediately turning them away or getting banned.
the first thing he said in that imgur link was that he thinks its okay to "hide your power level" . he is clearly okay with and willing to hide his real beliefs
Yeah, no. A well-written one, but clearly not an honest one. You probably don't go from a literal (not the way the term is often thrown around, but literal) comprehensive neo-Nazi belief system to suddenly thinking neo-Nazi beliefs are bad in the span of a few weeks. From thinking Jews run the world and need to all be killed to "oops, nevermind". He's just sorry he got exposed.
