If you fullscreened MobaXTerm and autohide the Windows taskbar then what are the problematic points vs running a linux/i3wm natively? Do certain keystrokes get intercepts by Windows regardless? I hadn't found any keystrokes that were masked by windows, but most of what I do is ALT+something, I use ALT as my meta key in i3.
