How does something that "induces long term depression" have a separate effect of "reduces evidence of tinnitus"? Are they saying this stimulation that apparently cures tinnitus also causes depression?

Ok, TIL, I thought it was cronic depression. But still, I see no reason to risk causing actual cronic depression via repeated noise trauma.
