I have no problem if a cyclists wants to flip back and forth between a "car" and a "pedestrian". It's just that a "pedestrian" uses their feet to move. So if you want to get off the bike to walk across an intersection with pedestrians; I really don't see a problem.

Yes but you know that's not what they meant. Cyclists on sidewalks or taking advantage of pedestrian crossings generally aren't walking their bikes.
